Well we arrived in Zurich on Monday evening. Although our train was delayed a couple of hours due to a cancellation, it was well worth the wait. The ride was absolutely breathtaking. Minus lugging our baggage all over the place and struggling to find a spot to sit; otherwise it was a smooth ride, with many naps and admiring the brilliantly green countryside.
Now Frankfurt was pretty cool, although I’d say it isn’t nearly as interesting as this city in Swissland (aka Switzerland). I will say, both train stations are absolutely beautiful. It’s impossible not to appreciate the history and culture surrounding every inch of the space around you. Not only does it remind me of Harry Potter, it is dripping in so much character. Everything is so cute, ancient and unique.
Once we checked into the hotel, I wasn’t able to venture out a whole lot since I was again focused on the show. I spent most of my time inside my lavish hotel room, looking out at the hills above. It wasn’t until after my first performance, that I was able to relax a little and see the city.
Before we took off on our all-day bus ride, a fellow dancer friend showed me around downtown. Let me tell you, I was in awe the entire time: from the river, to the churches, colorful buildings and tasty chocolates. I cannot even begin to describe to you the atmosphere and detail behind each crevice of the city. In that case, I will do my best to show you (below).
Well I’m off. Talk to you all once we leave the next city. Updates from the first show coming soon!
