the Packing House — a communal gathering place

If you haven’t visited the Anaheim Packing House { a part of the Packing District }, I urge you to check it out. It is one of the most brilliant ideas as far as food goes, that I’ve seen in a long time. In fact I’m surprised LA hasn’t caught on and I know all of my Utahans would go crazy over this place.

It is basically a shared meeting place where you can find anything you might need for you and your friends. From unique food, to treats, drinks and live entertainment, you’ll find yourself never wanting to leave. To my disbelief, this idea actually dates back to the agricultural area, from which Orange County was named after.

Not to mention it is the PERFECT place for celebrating people and their days of birth 😉 Love ya Jen!

Here is a brief description:

“The restored Packing House is a food hall reminiscent of the great public markets of South America and Europe. These markets serve as a resource for the neighborhood (daily food production) and a community gathering space (restaurants and entertainment). The two level Packing House features a large central atrium with communal dining surrounded by cafes and kiosks of varying sizes as well as outdoor picnic gardens and a building-length dining porch looking out to the outdoor marketplace, Farmers’ Park.”

Take a look inside:
