Keeping up with a blog is not easy when you have school work, class after class and a boyfriend you wish to give all of your time to. I cannot complain about any one of those things (okay except for maybe the assignments), but sometimes there’s just too much to do. There is SO MUCH that’s been going on here in NYC. Days seem to get shorter and shorter, with all that there is to see and experience.
I had a birthday! Gosh now I’m a quarter of a century. That seems weird. My brother messaged me to make sure I knew I was now ‘half way up the hill.’ Thanks Skyler.
I’ve had many great birthday’s but this may have been the very best one yet. Kyle made it extra special! Even with the not- so-good cheesecake we ate, everything was pretty perfect. I may or may not have eaten dessert all weekend.
Chikalicious Dessert Bar in West Village is to die for!
Dough Donuts will not disappoint either. I recommend the chocolate salted caramel.
Sweet Revenge is the perfect place to catch up and dine. Loved seeing Ms. Ashley for a casual night!
Having dinner with my roomies/seeing old friends was just what I needed to top it all off.
Kyle and I have continued our adventures. It started out where we tried to do everything humanly possible in small amounts of time. Soon we discovered doing normal life things isn’t so bad! Relaxing and hiding from the rain, seeing a movie (oddly we had never done that), and making dinner became a few of our favorites.
We discovered the best pizza place to be at Penn Station in NYC.
The cheesecake at Whole Foods is actually better than famous NYC cheesecake we found.
OatMeals and The Bean are two of my soon to be frequents.
Some personal favorites of mine, although the Mister may not agree:
Riding the train to New Jersey.
Discovering DryBar & Blushington located in the same space together on 56th St.
Cupcake gazing aka you just walk in to smell and look at Magnolia’s treats.
The list goes on and on. I promise we haven’t just eaten our way through the city either. We’ve enjoyed working out together, museum trips, walking our way up and down Manhattan, and hanging out on campus at NYU. Oh yes and I also have friends in case you were wondering hah! Luckily I get to see my girls when time allows us. You may even find me at an occasional show at Ailey by myself or walking around Central Park.
I had a great time shooting with a local photographer as well. That is next up to share!
Hope you New Yorkers stayed dry this weekend, and my Cali and Utah peeps are (hopefully) soaking up the sun!
